Management Students are the future managers of India on whom lies the responsibility of realising Indias dreams. MMA has always been spearheading this movement for practising managers and management students. During 2002, MMA launched its first Management Students Convention (MSC) focussing on management students on the theme Transformation from Managers to Leaders. In these fifteen years, the MSC has evolved and grown to be considered to be one of the landmark events of the year for management students in the country.
MMA has been organizing annually, the All India Management Students Convention (MSC) since its inception in the year 2002, for future architects of Indian economy and growth the Management Students. The MSC would be unique in its form and content in the way that it would be, if one may use a cliche Of the Students, For the Students and By the Students.
This is a one-of-its-kind annual convention for students of Management, and it attracted students, faculty of colleges, and several corporate participants from all over the country. The MSC provides an opportunity to the students to learn from Corporate gurus and at the same time provides them a platform to showcase their managerial acumen through paper presentations on the theme of the Students Convention.
MMAs Chanakya - The Mastermind is an Annual Award instituted in the year 2010 and would form one of the most significant events of the annual MMA All India Management Students Convention. A contest to arrive at the Best Potential Manager of that year from amidst the Management Students from all over India. Grilling but rewarding, it promises to bring out the best in management students. One of the first changes in life to prove managerial material of management students.
MMA receives approx. more than 4000 entries for each years Competition from B Schools/Management Institutions from all over India. All the applicants will be screened on the basis of (a) Their past academic performance, (b) significant achievements, (c) Significant competitions won and awards obtained and (d) an essay on the subject Why I am I the Best manger?. From this large set of applicants, the list will be pruned to a manageable 40 or 50 contestants from all over India.
The short-listed contestants will go through THREE rigorous rounds of evaluation during the Pre-Finals of the Competition held prior one day to the Convention dates. The three rounds included: (1) Psychometry Tests to evaluate their thinking and problem solving skills, (2) Group Discussions to evaluate their ability to handle pressure situations and team working skills and Just-a-minute Extempore competition to judge their speed of response and ability to think on their feet.
TEN Management Students who are shortlisted in Pre-Final stage will participate in the Finals at the MMA Management Students Convention. The Finals will be conducted in two rounds in front of the strong audience, during the Annual Management Students Convention. The first round on stage will witness elimination of 5 students leaving the other five in the fray for a Panel Interview on stage, which would include rapid fire round, resulting in the selection and crowing of the Winner as the MMA Chanakya _ The Mastermind for the year.
