For the benefit of students, MMA collaborates with various institutions across India, to provide specialised courses which enable the Management Students to undertake entrepreneurial initiatives and benchmark themselves higher than their counterparts. Such courses are conducted in collaboration with institutes like PMI, IFMR, IIFT, NISM, CIEL etc., These programmes are conducted either on weekends or as evening programmes. Some programmes are on “Distance Learning” or “Online” mode, for which, MMA would make efforts to have the contact classes conducted at MMA premises, provided the course strength is adequate to organise the same.
Student members are entitled to highly subsidised delegate fee for major events. For the Management Student Convention, MMA incurs an expenditure of over Rs.2000/- per candidate. However, the same is highly subsidized for students who are to pay only Rs.680/- (excluding taxes) for a two day convention which includes a sumptuous spread of lunch, tea and snacks. Similarly, delegate fee to other major events is also highly subsidized, whereas certain events such as the “ChinnKrishnan Innovation Awards” are complementary for students, against invitation.
“MMA Chennai” App is free to download from Google Playstore for Android platforms. Students are urged to download the App for updates and notifications of MMA programmes. However, some programmes may not be open for students. Hence students are advised to contact the GM/Head CCE/Manager Marketing/Executive Admin, for attending the programmes.
At Student Chapters, MMA would be able to deliver more programmes for the benefit of students, provided the Student Ambassadors are active. Hence MMA would invite students to volunteer to act as the Student Ambassadors, taking due permission/approval from college authorities. A certificate of merit would be awarded to students acknowledging their association with MMA.
Student members could volunteer for two week to four week internship at MMA, particularly prior to major events of MMA. Such students would gain immensely and gain practical experience in Operations, Planning, Marketing and comprehensive event management. Students are advised to forward their CV indicating their area of interest to the GM/Head CCE/Manager Marketing. MMA would contact the students as required. A certificate of merit would be awarded to students acknowledging their association with MMA.
MBA/BBA Qualified students could gain immense on-the-job experience by working as Management Trainees at MMA. Orientation would be provided to such students prior to undertaking the assignment. Such trainees could gain experience of working on the field propagating management programmes among the corporates, colleges, and interacting with HR heads of corporates, to explain the benefits of MMA membership. Such students would be paid honorarium, commensurate with their work, and all expenses incurred would be covered. Interested candidates may forward their CVs to GM, MMA at email@example.com
Student members of MMA could hire the MMA training facilities inclusive of the class rooms, teaching aids, LCD screen and projector along with furniture, to work on their projects or for other training needs. Nominal rental charges would be levied for the same. Necessary arrangements for Lunch/Tea would also be made, if necessary, on additional payment. MMA invites students to take initiative in sharing your views on social media platforms and give us your valuable feedback. The same can also be shared on the MMA website www.mmachennai.org
For the benefit of student members, MMA organises evening book reading sessions/talks/GD sessions/Debates/Quiz competitions/Soft skill sessions/Interview workshops etc from time to time, which are posted on the MMA website in the Event Calendar. MMA is open toorganize, on the initiative of the colleges/student groups, as many programmes as possible at the MMA premises, for which, the student members/volunteers can approach the GM/Head CCE/Manager Marketing.
MMA offers to its student members, mentoring and counselling on career issues. Student members are urged to contact the GM/Head CCE/Manager Marketing for any such requirement.
