The Supervisor is a key person in any organisation. He / She represent the Management to the Operators / support staff and also brings the concerns of the operators & support staff to the management. He is directly responsible to get the work executed. This requires several practical leadership skills to be developed by the Supervisory Personnel.
Often, the Supervisory personnel are promoted from operator cadre. They may have lot of experience but lesser academic qualifications. On the other hand, there could be young qualified professionals recruited for supervisory roles with less experience.
